l am an editor though are new to FCP 7, l am trying to find out hoe to do the effects that l could do on (SX laptop) on the FCP suite if any body can help thank you very much see below for items

    how do l
    1. DMZ edit (slow motion forward-backward slow to normal speed and normal speed to freeze frame)
    2. blur someones face out (news editing)
    3. News story question. when having a raw cut pictures-interview pictures can l take a voice straight in while having the in and out points on the canvas, as per Sx laptop use?
4.when outputting the finshed edit to Mpeg4 for the streaming video is it best to convert straight from the set up or through converter?
    5. if l need to have a split screen half half how and can l have the 2 pictures running together in split screen
    6. how do l get the picture to run in reverse when l need it to int the edit.

There are tutorials for most of your questions available for purchase or free online. You just need to search. Most of this is pretty basic. The manual even covers many of these topics.

Get yourself the Apple Pro Training Book on FCP 7. This will teach you a lot more than someone telling you how to do something.
