New to AVID Multicam?
Hello all,
Hopefully a simple question, but being new to Avid (Media Composer 6) and lacking time to explore it on my own I’m finding myself stuck on a multicam issue.
I came from FCP, editing scripted television and I’m wondering if and how to work with multicam in this environment (ie multiple takes/angles of a two-camera scene that all need to go into one sequence).
Everything I’ve seen online seems great for interviews/music videos, but not so much for what I’m doing.
Short question is – can I work with mutlicam/grouped shots without having to cut them into a sequence first?
Any help/tips/advice/threats would be appreciated.

I guess it comes down to what your definition of working with grouped shot is… You can load a group clip, and view the source as a 4 way or 9 way…
