New System/ Focus on GPU or GPU
Hi folks,
I´m playing around with different configurations for a new PC System, that shoud work for Avid Media Composer too. Media Composer is able to decide between CPU and GPU for better performance, as far as I know. So the idea suggests itself what makes more sense: focus more on CPU or GPU or do i need to focus on both?… keeping budget in mind.
what do you think or what is your experience?

MC uses GPU more nowadays but mostly to accelerate real-time effects.
Faster CPU cores is still the best route and a mid range GPU.

Ok, so what I read out of that is, it is more sensible to invest more ressources in a thick i9 processor than in a nvidia quadro or amd w 7100 or 8100.
What (4k able) GPUs would you commend when I go for a huge cpu and would not focus on gpu?
I would beat two birds with one stone with such a configuration, because my musical composing work is likewise cpu based.
