I used to have the VT25 as my client monitor (and also at home) they were excellent then the VT30 was even better!
One can only imagine the tech and picture has improved since and I’d consider the Panny plasmas the benchmark for client monitors. If you can afford it it should be one of these to go with your reference monitor.

The VT50s can be calibrated to produce nearly perfect 709. They are an excellent choice for client monitor, provided the set is properly calibrated.

50hz! Who uses that? 😉

Actually I think what you’re referring to is the banding while in motion. This is why, while it’s a good choice for client monitor, it’s something to consider if using as a main monitor. That said, the issue (at least I hope we’re speaking of the same issue) is only while in motion, and it’s not that easy to catch.

Dont get me started on these monitors!

I can confirm that the banding in motion is present on all 3 65″ Panny Plasma’s I had in my suite this week!!

On the new vx300 65 we had bought the banding doesn’t go away when stopped so I wouldn’t recomend using that monitor. We just sent ours back to Panasonic, replaced it with an older model and it’s a lot better.

I live in 50hz land too.
