    Hi all,

I have been looking at the soon to be released upgrade to CS5.5, but can’t seem to find the specific info I’m looking for via

    https://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/features._sl_id-contentfilter_s l_features%2Bby%2Bversion_sl_new%2Bsince%2Bcs5.html

I work with P2 and Ikegami based media primarily. When we first purchased CS5 we had to buy the MainConcept Codec Suite 5.

    https://www.mainconcept.com/products/apps-plug-ins/plug-ins-for-adobe/c odec-suite.html

This works great, but we will need another license for a second tower, which runs about $500, but Adobe seems to be indicating that it’s range of native codecs is improving with the CS5.5 upgrade. I can’t seem to pinpoint an exact list of the supported codecs. Can anyone confirm that CS5.5 will or will not have built in codec support for Ikegami HDS-V10 media recorded to GFPak? Otherwise, I think will hold off on the upgrade and spend the money on the additional MainConcept license.

    Thanks!

    Lindsay

Please provide a link to the material from Adobe that you’re seeing that you have questions about.

Here are the details of what’s new and changed for Premiere Pro CS5.5:

I assume you used the Main Concept package for the GFcam support?

    Hi all,

Thank you for you replies. Todd, that is roughly the same location, all via Adobe’s site, where I was looking for details on the CS5.5 upgrade. Thanks for providing that specific link. Based on it, no it does not appear the never version will perform the same function as MainConcept Codec Suite 5.

And yes, Tim we are using the MainConcept just for the Ikegami GFCam. I currently have the P2 feature disabled as adobe does well enough on its own in that regard.

    Any other suggestions?
    Lindsay
