New mouse… Can’t zoom in, only out!

I now this post is almost a year older than the previous ones. But I just purchases a new mouse Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000. Was having the same problem in AE with zooming. Here is the solution. I’m assuming the software hasn’t changed much just driver updates. Get the lastest software update for from microsoft. In the mouse properties panel under the “Wheel” tab click the blue underline link that says “Identify programs that don’t scroll correctly” then click the “add” button. find AE CS4 or whatever program. Click apply then click OK. This feature was designed for programs that do not support “Smooth Scrolling”. You don’t even have to reboot or restart AE, worked just fine after changing this mouse setting.

Ben Romer got it 100% right and was the only thing that worked for me. Except instead of “Mouse Wheel Sroll Up” It’s “Mouse Wheel Up” and you also have to change “Wheel down” to “Mouse Wheel Down”.

This problem has been annoying me for months but I figured it was because I needed to format and do a fresh install of Windows. When that didn’t fix it, I did a google search and found this.
