New monitor not matching!!
hope this is not off topic for this forum!!
I just bought a new acer AL1916W monitor to add to my other one to use with Vegas as a prewiew monitor I just installed it… same settings(as close as I can set it up) as my “old” one and after turning the new one and running on both ntsc color bars they look like they are 2 fifeerent monitors from 2 different companies almost the same as comparing a 2d image to a 3d image the new one is so brighter and crispier
I’ve never heard of LCD to lose quality like this I baught the first one not even a year ago!!!
any inputs???

No two monitors or display devices ever look the same, even the same model. They each need to be calibrated individually to make sure the image you are sending it is exactly what you are getting out of it. It sounds like your new monitor is set on ‘torchmode’ which is how most LCD’s are sent from the manufacturer. High contrast, high brightness, not exactly the right image.
Run bars to both monitors and calibrate them. They should start looking like each other, and don’t just copy the settings from one to the other, do the full process with each one seperately.
