I’ve been looking around on line for a new monitor to use with my mac pro. I edit on FCP 7 and X but will soon start transitioning to Premiere as well. Lots of options out there in the $250-$400 range but I’m just not sure what is best. my mac pro has DVI and mini DisplayPort options. Anybody using a monitor they really like? Also, looks like I might need an adapter to work with HDMI or VGA. any opinions if one of those options is better than the other?

    thanks,

    Mike

Dell makes a some decent monitors in that price range that I’ve heard good things about, like the UltraSharp U2412M.

At these resolutions (1920×1080 and greater) I’d stick to DVI or HDMI. Stay away from VGA connections.

any monitor with a dvi port and supports 1080 resolution is fine it is what looks good to you, some people like one thing and others like others it is just your personal preference . what feels good on your eyes and if you want one for color correction you willl have to tack on another 0 at the end
