I purchased the new (updated) Macbook Pro (15″, 8 GB RAM) running Final Cut Pro X. I also grabbed the new Thunderbolt technology hard drive in the form of the 1 TB Seagate GoFlex. I figured that was going to be fast enough. However, a two camera multicam clip is dropping frames when cutting to one particular angle. The two streams are both optimized, so I’m assuming ProRes files, one coming from a Sony V1U, the other a Canon HV30.
