New Mac Pro…?
Posted by Michael Kammes on May 30, 2012 at 4:43 pmThis is particularly appropriate for those professionals using Mac Pros for FCP…
Thought this may be of some interest (if for nothing more than a fun diversion).

May 30, 2012 at 5:14 pmHa! No – had it already, oddly enough. I wear it when working with a difficult…*ahem*… colleague in the industry. I point at the shirt, and he knows I’m about to kill him.
…seemed apropos for the video…and it’s the only amusing thing. I’m competing against kids and thought bubbles, for pete’s sake!

I wondered how you felt about this:

Certainly anything Dalrymple says has to be food for thought – my vote just switched…

May 31, 2012 at 2:43 pmIt’s certainly interesting!
As soon as any kind of polarizing topic like this hits the community, there are instantly ‘inside sources’ who are SURE one way or another.
…followed by an email from someone who is ALSO an insider and knows BETTER. Hell, there are many sites who are immensely profitable *just* on Apple rumors. For me, it’s a game, it can be fun if taken lightly…
I’ll make my living Mac Pro or not. Improvise and adapt. Stick and move.
As for https://macprochallenge , it’s a great, fun, social experiment Kanen and I are having fun with – whoever wins. I’ll have just as much fun with this if I’m dead wrong. I’m not staking my professional reputation on it – it’s a game 🙂

May 31, 2012 at 5:10 pmI have a shirt for such occasions as well… https://www.angusoblong.com/shirts/no.html
I’m still on the fence. It seems an easy upgrade to monetize an old design. New Chips, TB, Blu-Ray and done. On the other hand, Apple has never seemed to do something halfway so I can also imagine a heartier iMac to begin to fill the gap.
Most people just want an answer though and we have seen some switching to HPs with our customers…
