    Here’s an idea for masking either a whole image or just the edges of it with a Grunge texture (borrowed from the Apple FCPX library).

    There are controls for:

    – selecting from a range of grunge textures or applying a user mask through a drop zone;
    – scale and position of the texture;
    – strength of the “grunge”;
    – scale, position, opacity, feather and roundness of the centre cut-out area.

    I must of missed this one!….nice work and good idea of putting the great motion content to use for textures.

    Cheers,

    Yeah, nobody else seems to have seen any mileage in this one but for me it’s the organic effects that I use most of all if I used effects at all. I think this one has lots of possible uses – I like it not just as a frame but also by animating the parameters as a way of fading a shot on and off. But hey, I think I’m very much an MTV generation kind of graphics person who likes it all a bit dirty and knocked about 😉
