It’s nothing we can do and its easily fixed but when I installed the new driver, it changed my 525i29.97 Easy Setups to 23.98. Strange? Yeah… But it is easily changed when you edit the Capture Setups.

Just wanted to make everybody aware… It could just be me but I’m sure somebody else will see this.

Make sure you tell AJA support so they can track it in case it is not only you.

Oh, I have… I just wanted to see if anyone else here has seen this. The more that seen an error, the easier it is to fix.

My Easy Setups seem to be corrupted as well. I no longer can use the 8 bit to DV Easy Setup, even if I manually go in and correct the settings.

I see no video in Capture mode – which is odd because if I switch over to the 8 bit Uncompressed Easy Setup everything is fine.

When I edit the Capture settings to [Kona 8-bit digitizer, 29.97, NTSC DVCPRO-DV codec, etc.] I get a strange hash and still no Capturing.

This is very frustrating as this has been my default workflow for large projects – offline in DV, then online in SD or DVCPRO-HD.

    Thanks for any advice.

You’ll have to change your capture settings from 23.98 to 29.97. This is what the driver has changed. As for the DV issue, there is a support doc at Apple’s tech support site that tells you how to reset your Quicktime and re-install the latest Quicktime.

Turns out it’s probably a bad card. (Uncompressed 8 bit works fine.) Kona sending me a new one overnight – great support! Will report back if it turns out to be something else. Thanks.

Well…. That will do it! I’ve just gone thru a problem with them also and I hope to get my replacement card in a couple of days. My problem was relating to the fact that the serial port rarely worked at all. Ayways… It’s nice to know that AJA is so willing to help out its customers. THANKS AJA!
