    Hello Everyone!

    i want to purchase a new PC to work better with premiere.
    i have hardware that i believe i can keep:

    16GB (4X4) Kingstone DDR3 @669MHZ (7-7-7-16)
    1TB WD
    500GB Samsung
    cooler master hyper 212 evo
    Antec 300 Case

    and all the peripherals equiqment

    so what you suggest to buy?

    Go with a used dual xeon , the more cpu’s you can add the better. Adobe is a program that thrives on several slower cpu’s rather then a few faster ones.

    For 5-600 you can easily get a dual 1366 board and two x5650-x5690’s. Load the machine down with ram too and make sure you have six sticks of any size so it will run in at least triple channel mode.

    the gpu doesn’t really matter as premiere takes advantage of better cpu’s or a good gpu. you could have gpu based rendering but thats pointless if you have multiple cpu’s they’ll be much faster.

    So long as the gpu is modern and can output at the resolution you want most anything will do.
