    Hey everyone,

I just got a new computer for my video work. I don’t know much about computer specs so I’m just gonna copy down whats in my about system window:
    Model: HP Elite 7000
    Processor: Intel Core i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80 GHz 2.80 GHz
    RAM: 4 GB (2.99 usable)
System Type: 32 bit (which seems strange because I’m running windows 7 and I thought that was 64 bit, but again, I really don’t know what I’m talking about).

    Anyway, those are my stats.

I’ve installed CS3 on this system and there are a few glithes in AE and Premiere, but since this is the premiere forum – whenever i try to import and Mp3 (ones that work just fine on CS3 installed on my laptop) I get the “file format unsupported” window and it doesn’t load. I know that converting to wav will fix this, but that doesn’t change the fact that premiere “should” be doing this and all my music is MP3 format.

Any ideas on why this is happening?

    Thanks for any help.

    -Chris

Do you have Quicktime Player installed…if not try that (free), it might fix Premiere.
