  • New comp numbering starts at footage’s in point — wth?

Is this a feature I just never noticed?:

Set an IN point on some footage, then created a comp by dragging the footage to the MAKE COMP icon in the project window.

No worries: but then I noticed the comp’s numbering in the comp window timeline, with 100% of the timeline displayed, started at the same # as the footage’s in point.

This seems only marginally useful, and IMO quite confusing (since there are “negative frames” I can’t access: is there a way to reset the comp’s numbering to start at zero, as usual?

Thanks. Always somethin’ new to learn, oy!

With the comp(project panel) or from with the comp’s timeline selected press cntl+K and change the start time to 0
