Wow, Dan. That looks to be an excellent new plugin.

The “Parent” constraint especially looks interesting because combined with Cappacino you can animate something and give its movement a very organic feel by adjusting the Strength parameter.

I have one silly question though. I couldn’t quite make out the use/benefit of the “Clamp” constraint. Can you give me an example of how that would be best utilized?

BTW, what will be the going price for it when it comes out?

    Thanks. 🙂

    Howdy,

Well, you’d use the clamp constraint any time you don’t want an object to go past another object. If you have an animation where you just can’t get the FCurve adjusted to where the one object doesn’t pass through the other, the clamp constraint will do it. Probably the most common use would be for a characters feet so they won’t accidently go through the floor.

    Here is an example: https://www.cactus3d.com/FootClamp.mov
In this example the clamp constraint was used on the three points of the foot that will touch the floor (heel, ball and toe). Trying animate a characters foot and keep all three of those points above the floor without a clamp constraint can be time consuming.

I’ve set the price at $40 and I’ll be offering discounts for registered users and bundles.

    Adios,

Thanks for the clarification, Dan. I can’t wait to get it and your CD IK Tool, too. 🙂
