    New Box, no waveforms

    Just put in a new box, and all is well, but I’ve got no audio waveforms in my timelines, even when they are switched on.
    – the show up if I zoom all the way into the track, but backed out, they show up as X’s.
    – I’ve got the footage on a SAN, but the waveform and thumbnail cache on the local box.

    Restarting has not fixed the problem. Just thought we’d get that out of the way…

    I’m not a newbie to FCP, but it seems like such a simple fix that I must be missing…

    It sounds unusual.
    Try: Trashing the caches, the user prefs.
    Try a new OSX user
    Try a 48k aiff file
