Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Networking MAC computers

    I understand that some how 2 MAC computers with OSX and Final Cut Pro 6.0 can network from
    one to another (in different geographic regions), whereas the timeline and interface of one FCP
    project can be worked on by another MAC computer thousands of miles away.
    How is this done?

    You understand incorrectly. You MIGHT try this with BACK TO MY MAC…but the responce is so horrid, that you see about 1 frame a second…

    Share screen. I’ve tried it. It’s not fun.

    I think i’ve done it with gotomeeting.com. same results.

    you can do this with Apple iChat – but it’s not what you think.
    It’s great to remote connect to another MAC, but you are at the mercy of the internet connection, and let me assure you – even with modern broadband cable connections – it’s slow. I have not tried it with things like Verizon FIOS, so I don’t know if that’s better – but no one can guarantee point to point fibre connection (unless you pay for it, like VYVX).
