Ok so i’ve collected the files, changed any settings to use multi machine sequence and set the other computer to watch the folder.

Once everything starts to render, i take a look at the log file. If i have a 2 machine setup, including the main machine that i work on, should it list 2 machines? Or just the remote machine?

A thing that throws me off is the estimated render times on the initial machine. It never seems to be lower even when i use a multi machine setup. Shouldn’t the speed gains be up to half or lower and the estimated times be less if i use network rendering?

    Righto just solved the problem

The output to must be set to the same output folder that is specified during the collect files dialog.

HTH others out there trying this out.
