Hello. I have NET Render 9.1 with the following setup:

Server and client installed and runing on one Apple X Serve cluster node (OS 10.4.3, Dual 2.3GHz, 1 GB RAM) with a fixed IP, 2 additional clients running on Cluster nodes with identical config. So a total of 3 machines, 3 clients. My workstation is a G5 desktop running 10.4.3 with 4 GB RAM.

For the cluster nodes, there is NO firewall turned on. Client ports are set to 1080 and NET server port is set to 8080.

I upload my projects and textures as instructed in the documentation.

So…the question. I know that everyone is communicating OK as all clients and the server can see eachother. I start a job and the render begins fine. .b3d files are being saved into the appropriate folder. But a few minutes into my render, one of the clients will crash….disappear…then the other will drop out. The only client that doesn’t crash is on the machine that is also running the NET server. i don’t get much feedback from the offending machines…not even a window that says “NET Render quit unexpectedly”.. The only feedback I do get is in the Web admin of net render which says “Image Transfer Error” and lists the IP address of the offending machine.

So things start off OK and then go south. Has anyone seen this before and can you help? I’m baffled and the little information I found on the Maxon site wasn’t too informative.

Thank you very much, in advance.
