My understanding is that when you update clips within a nested sequence your parent sequence will always reflect those changes. Everything I have read in the manual leads me to believe this is an absolute.

Is there some sort of setting that would prevent this from happening? I have made changes in a nested sequence and rendered it and the changes are not being reflected in the parent sequence when I play it. If I play the parent sequence in the Quick viewer I can see the changes I have made but they don’t show up when I play the parent sequence in a normal manner.

    What am I missing?

Often the parent clip will not release the old render. Toggle the nested clip off on to force a render and it will update.
