I have 30 minutes of P2 media, backed up to hard drives. It was shot on a SPC700 camera at 60i, 16 x 9 aspect. I have no current means of NLE ingest, and I want to get my client a DVD view copy of the footage. I tried taking composite video out of the camera to a beta deck, but the result was a vertically stretched 4 x 3 image. Does this camera have some down-convert to 4 x 3 function?

    TIA,

    Dave

Why not digitize to NLE straight from the camera in real time then make your DVD from the time line. If it has to be 4:3 then convert it in the time line. 4:3 from 16:9 is not a down convert as you are working in SD.
