I’m so glad I found this thread. I hope you are still helping people convert their old FPC files.

I so appreciate this. I have spent so much time trying to get my old FPC up and running to get these projects. For years I thought searching for help, I figured I must have been the only person that didn’t backup using XML export. Thanks again.

Hey Cathy!
No trouble at all – these were all lightweight and opened/exported with no issues. One of the project files had no imported media and only an empty sequence, but the rest had actual stuff going on.
I’ve exported each of the 10 projects and included a screenshot of the export dialog that shows bin/clip/sequence counts.

No worries – XML export, conversion, and import to a FCPX library are included in the .zip. Took a couple of screenshots inside FCP7 so you’d have a reference (they’re in the Source folder).

No problem at all. The attached .zip file contains project XML, translated copy to .fcpxml, batch list, and a fresh FCPX library with the project imported.
