I need to remove noise from some video. Some have freeway noice. Some have air-conditioner noise. Some just have background noise I need to filter out. Tried EQ stuff in FCPX but can’t get read of it all. And what it seems to do is remove the noise when the interviewee stops talking. When he starts talking again I can still hear the noise.

If FCPX has a noise filter, which one is it, how do it work. If not, who has a good noice filter like SoundForge?

It all depends on how much noise you have to deal with of course but the best option for dealing with it is almost always going to be iZotope RX.

Izotope is the magic wand for this, but if you can’t afford that, the noise removal system in Audacity is very good, and that’s free. Consult Youtube for one of a hundred tutorials on how to use that.

did you try the Noise Removal, which is part of the Analyze & Fix function?

i can’t really tell you much more about it as i don’t use FCPX, but i just rad about it in this article:

sounds like maybe you used a noise gate filter?
I hope the Noise remove works for you

    cheers,
