Need to increase the res from 352 x 240 MPEG-1 to DV
Hello,
I have some files in 352 x 240 MPEG-1 which I would like to use on a DV project. Therefore I have to increase the resolution. If I just use Quicktime Export–>DV the result looks kind of crappy. Maybe as expected.
Here is my question: what is the best way to increase the resolution? I am on a Mac using FCS.
Doesn’t necessarly need to be up to full DV maybe up to action safe or title safe (what ever the resolution is) would be as well ok, but enough that it can be viewed in a movie.

Wow…it’s not going to look better than VHS footage. No way to track down the original source tapes? If you have Cleaner you can try various codecs and settings to get a decent uprez…not gonna be easy.

You can use Compressor. In the Preset Folders, use the folder, Advanced Format Conversion.
As Rich said, it ain’t gonna look pretty.
