Need to create mp4 from 4k prores master file for use on Wistia video player
I have no problem sharing out of FCPX to computer h264, but I need to carefully control file sizes. I don’t know how to do this.
I am totally in the dark on what setting to use in compressor to do the same thing. Surely I am missing something!
I’ve watched lynda. com tutorials and \cannot find help there.
Thank you in advance for help. I used to have sorenson at work and got spoiled.

You can do everything you’re used to doing with squeeze in compressor. Drag a setting that has a “4” icon next to it down onto your file, then highlight that setting by clicking on it in the bar below your file, once it’s highlight on the right side you will see all of the video and audio setting options and you can change to the desired output settings. Note- you have to open the presets dialogue window from the icons at the top. When you first open compressor they aren’t open. I realize this is is a very simple answer but I’m not at my computer now. Use the preset as a start to get the mp4 file extension you want and go from there. Once it’s set to your liking you can drag it over to the “custom” settings area on the left, name it and it will save it for you.
