I have a video that contains portions of footage that infringes on a copyright. I was wondering if anyone knows a good way to blur-out a section of the video frame, using Final Cut Pro. For instance, like when an unliscenced company logo is blurred out on Broadcast News footage, or when someone flicking off the camera on TV has their middle finger blurred out, etc.

Thanks. I appreciate any insight and info you are able to share

Click the following link and view the tutorials called “Cops Part 1, 2, & 3”.

Its for an older version of FCP, but the techniques still apply.

And if you have the time and money to invest in 3rd party plug-ins.
“Joe’s Filters” (and others) can be used to do this as well.
