Need to apply an S-2 blur to multiple key layers (nitris DX)
Okay;so I have 3 video layers in my Avid Nitris DX sequence:
V1 is my background.
V2 and V 3 are each separate title tool graphics…or,even better, let’s say V2 and V3 are 2 different matte keys.
Now I want to add the same Sapphire-2 blur-off to the 2 matte keys/title tool key layers, but keep my V1 background undisturbed.I’ve done this before, but now the process seems to be different, or at least not working the same as when I last tried this a few months ago.
Lets say my V2 and V3 are the same title tool key,but on V3 I adjust the position so the same word appears in a different place on the screen.
Problem 1: I drag the S2 blur to my V2 key (not alt-drag;just drag). Step into efx editor, and check apply to title key. First off, I see no key frames with the S2 effect,so how do I adjust my KFs in and out?
Problem 2: I drag the S2 blur to my V3 key (same title but different position),add apply to title key. But all of a sudden, the V3 title tool pops back to it’s unadjusted position. Why!So:
A: how do I add/adjust different keyframes (WHY doesn’t the effect mode deault to a beginning and an end keyframe? didn’t it used to do this with Sapphire efx?)
B: why did the positioning change on my title (to default position) when I added the S2 blur to my V3 track?Another ISSUE:
I then created the same scenario above, except THIS time I collapsed V2 and V3 above V1 (I didnt collapse all 3 tracks, just V2 and V3), thinking that I could apply the same S2 blur to both key layers and keep the 2 titles in their respective positions).
But THIS time, the “apply to title key” is not an option with the collapse. Is this because the collapse is a submaster? And if so,so what? I’ve collpased tracks before, and added an effect to the collapse and have it “take.” Is this because my collapsed tracks are made up of matte keys? What might I be doing incorrectly? Thanks
