    Hi all,

I’m not an expert in After effects, but I’m trying real hard.:)

I want to follow a line that is drawn with 3d stroke and I want to follow that line with a camera in a sort of helicopter style (as if a helicopter is following the drawing (I hope this explains it wel… :S)

What I’ve done till now is draw the line with a pen tool and use the 3d stroke effect.
Than I parented a camera to a null object and copied the mask path to the position of the null.

The thing I need to do now is change the perspective of the camera to a helicopter view.

Is this the right way to do it? Or is there another way?
Thnx a lot for your help!

I’m not an expert either, but I was thinking of the same process myself, not ran through it yet, But I wanted a camera to follow a path slightly behind and above, in 3d space.

The way you have wrote is the exact way I thought in my head to set it up. Then just change the camera target / perspective.
