Need some serious help with tracking please
Hi all,
What I’m doing: I have an object that I’ve resized and placed over video where I want it. I then need to track a point on the video on the layer below. Problem I’m having is once I track and set the affected layer, it moves that layer (and the object I’d positioned) over the tracking object. Problem then is, once the keyframes have been set through tracking, moving the object back doesn’t work.
Is there a way to have it affect the position relative to where it is when the process starts? Make sense? The only luck I’ve had is to fool around with tracking then precomping, but this is a pain and has it’s own issues.

Set up your tracking feature reigion, and search area, etc. as usual but change the attatch point to wherever you like. Then apply the tracking data as usual.
