Is this the right place to post this? I must finally move up from FCP 7 for work. Can’t use FCPX on my system until I upgrade the graphics card. Per the tech requirements from apple I need OpenCL-capable graphics card or Intel HD Graphics 3000 or later. Some research sent me to this OWC link: https://eshop.macsales.com/item/Apple/6615718/ which is more my budget at $269 than the one Apple is recommending at over $879. Can anyone give me some feedback on this and what else I will need before buying the upgrade to X? Thanks in advance!

    Hi

I have that 5770 card in an old MACPRO 1.1 and it works perfectly with FCPX. You might want to add a bit more RAM as FCPX is 64 bit and is able to utilise that. Otherwise I dont think there is anything else you really need to get you going.

    best wishes
