Need help with voice recording
I have a microphone plugged into my sound card, and want to narrate some old movies dating back to 1931. What settings do I need to make to get good audio quality in the finished movie. I have right now a 2 min video that plays smoothly enough, and I just want to record in sych, naming the names of people, most of whom are no longer alive. I was there though and some of us still are around. I did do one short clip and the narration was fine. But this clip is no go.
I just tried a recording that started out just fine. In synch, no pops or crackles, and quite clear. About 3/4 thru the video, the voice starts “breaking up” losing words and gets badly out of synch with the video. Also I rendered the movie and monitored the output. No good.
Any suggestions? I obviously don’t know what I am doing and am sitting here in the bush in northern Alberta with nobody to ask — I don’t think there is another Sony Vegas user in the county.
Thanks
