need help “rewiring” a text animation preset
I have been using the “Word Processor” text animation preset for some title sequences I have been working on, and I have discovered that I would like to be able to use the effect “in reverse” so to speak. I want to have it function exactly as the preset except that I want to have it type out a line of text from right to left. So I would want the “cusor” offset to the left (instead of to the right) so that it leads a text string as it is revealved from right to left. I have taken a stab at changing the various properties and settings to achieve this result, but I can only get portions of it looking correct. I definitely need help from someone who has a better understanding of text animation “selectors” and such.

You have to revert the timing by subtracting the offset values from the overall text length like 120-effect(“Type_on”)(1)

In order to get the length of the text i tried this expression.
L=text.sourceText.length
L-effect(“Type_on”)(1)But it doesn’t work.Now the text just fades from right to left.Is it that what you mean Mylenium?

When I tried this morning, it worked, but I used fixed values. But you may be right. It’s possible that the cursor does not react to this and I overlooked it.
