    Need Help! Is it possible to “upconvert” from SD to HD?

    Hello,

    I’m trying to determine if it’s possible to upconvert a program from SD to HD format.

    If it’s in the manual, I have overlooked it…the only information I could determine was crossconversion and downconversion from HD to SD.

    Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

    Depends upon what system you are using.

    Basically, you just capture in to an SD project, then change the project to an HD one. You will have to resize the SD footage to get to the proper (16×9) aspect ratio. At this point, if you are on a Symphony Nitris, you can output to tape. If you are on anything less than that, you will have to transcode first.
