    Hello People

I have this situation I hope you help me & guide me:

    I have
    2 Sony Cameras
    2 projectors
    Video Mixer
    Sound Mixer
    Final Cut Pro 6
    2 Lab tops
    MyBook 500GB

I want to to get both video and audio from the 2 cam and view the video in the 2 projector at the same time. Also add effects or some labels from the 2 video editing software and display it with video and audio in the 2 projectors. All of that live that mean what I ever I do it should be displayed to audience.

    The questions are:
    – What kind of hardware I need to do this and which website I can get it from?
    – What kind of software I need to do this and which website I can get it from?
    – What the best and correct methodology to do it?
    – What anything else that I need and could help me?
    ….

Please I need your help & guide. Please guide me!

    Thanks in advance.

You’ll need a character generator and more… I’d suggest that you contact a VAR and have them design and setup a system for you. FCP will have nothing to do with it either… you can’t use it for anything except to show pre-edited material… can’t go in and out of FCP live at all.

    I’m not clear on this.
Do you want the pictures from both cams live mixed on each screen at the same time or will it be 2 separate setups in different areas? (one cam+one laptop displayed on one projector).

Most important – Are you working with DV, HDV or HD?
and what signal are you feeding the projectors (composite, s-video, component, dvi) ?

    Thanks for your reply.

    I’m sorry fot this convustion
    the stup that I have
2 cams connect to one labtop
2 projectors connect to same labtop mostly through composite cable.

I want to mix between videos and add some effects to videos such as news bar or anyother effects. Mostly I will work with DV.

    Thanks in advance

You cannot send more than one signal to FCP, and send out a graphic over this signal at the same time. It’s not a production application… it’s a post production app.

You need a switcher and hardware that do this for you. FCP really doesn’t come into play at all unless you want to record the signals you’re sending to the projectors.

Wirecast will do what you want. It will switch & mix between firewire sources, do still & motion graphics, even real-time chroma keys. About $500. Only caveats are that you need a second firewire bus (there are several available for the ExpressCard slot) and lots of VRAM (macbooks will not work, only macbook pro’s)

Thanks for all the replys, it was a big help for me.
I think I will use Wirecast as Mr.Paul suggest.

Another thing is In FCP I know how to capture from one cam and store it. I have try many times to capture from 2 cam it doesn’t work with me. Is there any solution for this or I should us the video mixer/Wirecast to change the source?

    Thanks in advance
