  • Need graphics card for video preview and drive a 30″ Cinema Display

I am updating my AE rig and need some suggestions on what i need to pull the following off.

I have a 42″ plasma monitor that i want to use as a client monitor (wall mounted). Its a Pioneer PDP monitor and I need to purchase a card for the type of output I want to run out of my Mac Pro. Right now I have a few choices…Component, HDMI, or HDSDI.

The monitor is for when clients come in to preview my work. I also want the card to have 2 DVI inputs so I can upgrade my 21″ Cinema display to the new 30″ display by the end of the year.

I was looking at the Nvidia Quadro FX 4600 which has an optional card that seems to output SDI. Not sure on that…not sure if thats overkill.

What are other people using for a video preview?

    Thanks in advance,
    Bill
