I’m looking for a reasonable way to get a DVcam tape copy of an XDCAM HD sequence out of FCP. I’ve tried export to quicktime using the NTSC DV codec and the results have been disappointing. Any suggestions?

One option would be to export back to disc in HD and then use the camera or deck in AVC mode to dub directly via firewire to DV tape

Do you have a video I/O card like an AJA Kona or Blackmagic Decklink? Cards like these have realtime hardware downconverison on output. You could simply connect a DVCAM deck to the card via SDI or analog component and downconvert in realtime to tape.
