Need comments on website and AE work

Site works for me, but let me give some points worth noting:

– the type on the buttons looks soft/ blurred
– overall contrast could be better. Try to bring out your banner/ logo a bit more. the intense yellow you use will make everything else look rather pale, so you might wanna consider creating your thumbnails with frames to make them more pronounced
– Try to settle for a strict color scheme. I’m not really convinced by your choice of colors. It makes the site just look drab and boring. Keep the yellow, black and blue, get rid of the greenish tones. Always use the same colors for type and backgrounds (the yellow in the banner is different).
– experiment with shapes and forms. If you stick with simpel rectangles, try to come up with some decorative patterns that you can sprinkle in here and there to loosen up things. Try to think of some navigational elements conforming to that style.

Everything Mylenium said and:
the playback of your clips is painfully slow in Safari on a cable connection;
the bottom movie has been rendered with fields, you’ll need to deinterlace that clip and rerender it;
you are using too much Shine (at it’s default settings)p
the 3D stroke animation looks disturbingly like something I’ve seen before (on the Trapcode site);
I dont’ get the firey surgeon thing, what’s going on with that?

TweenGuy: This was made about 2 yrs ago in 3ds Max, Sorry but I am not aware of deinterlacing. Any more tips?

TweenGuy: You are cent percent right, however, there are a few things to consider,
1) I have not used it for any commercial purpose, just for my own practice
2) this particular 3 seconds animation came out as a result of my practice session after watching tutorial at Trapcode’s site.
3) My website at least at this point is only meant for learning purpose, i.e. I will take suggestions from Pros like you.

When you compress the video look for an option to “deinterlace”. This will remove the fields, which are not only unnecessary for playback on computer, they also look ugly – appearing as a comb tooth type pattern particularly in areas of the vision that a moving.

As far as the Trapcode vision goes, my advice to you is to NEVER use examples from tutorials on your site or in your reel – it’s unprofessional and could also be considered stealing.
