    Hi,
I need an excellent quality encoder for an Mac G5 10.4
Can anyone give me a recommendation?

I’ve tried On2 Flix Pro and got decent results, but think it can be cleaner.
The xdcam footage typically has lots of pans with complex (trees forest branches) backgrounds. Seems a tall order to compress super clean.

The work flow is XDCAM – FCP – Compressor (current settings) – Then resize, (to flash player dimensions) 640×360 in compressor w/ ProRes – Then to some really good encoder for flash or h264 for Streaming
    Thanks!

on2 is pretty much the best there is when it comes
    to flash encoding.

perhaps you should add some more bitrate to make it nicer?
