  need advice on technical artwork terms

  I have been using photoshop for a couple years. No formal training, just doing stuff with it that is pretty basic.

  I made a dvd cover for a client. They are having it mass produced. The company making the covers want me to give them the artwork without “knockouts”.

  What does this mean? I gave them a .psd file with all the layers. Does “knockout” mean layer? Do i need to send them a flattened image?

  Also, how much “full bleed” is standard to make?
