need advice on shooting drips of all kinds…pls help!!

Are you looking for the drip hitting the surface or dripping from its source?

What eventual effect do you plan to construct with the shot?

I think many of these are shot below plexi or glass and the drips fall in on the “Z” axis of the shot creating an eventually solid field of color…good for the “Nickelodeon” crowd if that’s appropriate.

Hi Tim,

I am actually looking for both kind of effects , :), The plexi/glass idea sounds Interesting,But why would one do that and not use say white paper? Wouldnt white black ink on white paper luma key better?

also, is there any particular paint/ink which will yield better results?

I was thinking that the camera is below the glass looking up…toward the source of the drip. When the drip hits, it would fall right at the lense and look as if it struck the lense….that sort of thing.
