    Hey guys,

I am quite new in this community and needs some advice. Just built my pc for video editing (HD work basically). Specs:

    Intel Core i5 4690K @ 3.50GHz
    8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz
    ASUS H81M-PLUS

Want to find out what GPU to select basically. ATM looking only editing HD media, so was thinking about GeForce GTX series, but there is so many. As fas as I understand I need at least 2GB card, but I cant decide which one.

Any suggestions are welcome. Also, my budget is pretty tight, so I cant afford high end for now, but will invest in the future, now I only need Resolve to work, because currently as soon as I import video file it crashes. I assume this is because I dont have a GPU installed and CPU is not powerful enough.

So I will be waiting for any suggestions on this,

    Thanks!

A little careful shopping around (Ebay) and you can find a pretty nice Quadro card for an affordable price. Buying something like a Quadro 4200 now will save you having to replace it later. Why spend the $$$ twice?

Thanks for reply! I am looking at something more affordable unfortunatelly. ATM I can only spare like 100 euros. So I think I can only afford something up to 2 GB VRAM. But advice I need is, out of all cards that fits in my budget, which one should I choose.
