    Hi everyone,

We are developing a 4K workflow now, dealing with 4096 x 2160raw data.
The major application is converting the RAW files into MFX DCI 4K in Resolve.
We have one Mac mini, one Mac pro and one Mac Book.
With the increasing footage, our current LaCie thunderbolt 2.0 Big 5 drive will not satisfied our requirement for capacity, we are estimated to have at least 60TB, and sometimes we want to share files between workstations.
Do we need to upgrade a SAN solution? Will that be very costly? Our budget is around 10 grand.
We will be very appreciate any solution advice.

    Patrick

    Patrick,

There are lots of shared storages you can choose from: Space, Terablock, SNS Studio, Editshare, DDN, Omneon, Isilon, Small tree and of course DDP Dynamic Drive Pool.

If you looking to share data in between 3 machines only, dont bother looking at those as it will cost you lot.

Get some DAS storage with SAS/FC/40GbE connection.

For your information, DDP can combine multiple Thunderbolts, Ethernet and even USB 3 connections and double, even triple your speed, when you are ready to rock!
