Need a plugin to add light to an interviewee’s face
I found this: https://fcpdaily.com/2010/02/fcp-free-marcus-herricks-haiku-plugins-for-fcp-face-light-easy-vignette/
But it seems to be an old plug in or something because when I try to download it and then unzip it, I can’t get FCP 7 to recognize it. It downloads two folders (Marcus and Marcus 2) and no matter which of those I click on and then double click on “facelight” I get an dialogue box from FCP that says “wrong file type.”
Anyone know of a similar plug in… I have an interview and his right eye is almost completely blacked out…

real quick… should i use the “marcus plug” or “marcus plug 2” folder? is it the same contents in each folder or is one better to use than the other? -
okay, got em showing up in the effects tab under color correction… so thats good… now, is there a tutorial or something to show me how to add a “splash of light” to a person’s eye?
i have drug the filter onto the footage and messed around with the meters but i am not understanding what is adjusting… i am seeing no difference in the lighting? -
change the opacity for a stronger effect.
