Need A Clue—DVCPro50, Panny 1200A & 6.0.2
Can’t find capture preset for DVCPro50 to capture from Panisonic 1200A. The Matter of fact, tried every possible one after changing all the various AV settings in the Easy Set UP, Video
settings, and in the capture window tab—but nada.Any clue most appriciated.
Oh, 10.4.11, 6.0.2, 8 gigs RAM, Mac-Tel 2 x 3 Quad

It called DV50.
DV50 and DVCPro50 are the same. You might have to change the preset for the type of machine control that you have (firewire or 9-pin).

Are you capturing firewire? if so you have to menu through the deck and select dv50 as the firewire output then choose the dv50 easy setup in FCP. There’s a thread on the Varicam forum for this if I remember correctly.
If you are capturing with a capture card, simply hook up the SD-SDI port out of the 1200A to your capture card and choose the appropriate dv50 easy setup.
