Okay. I’ve been using IO for over a year mostly doing capture and playback via SDI no problem.

Just now I’m monitoring playback through composite on an analog monior and I notice a huge amount of clipping occuring. Something like everything above 70% luminance is clipped.

Just as a test I tried taking an SDI signal from the IO out to a Digi-Beta deck and then a composite signal from the Digi deck to the other Channel on the monitor. Hey presto, no clipping.

Apparently there is something vastly wrong with the composite output from the IO but not from the SDI.

I tried swapping inputs and a different monitor with no difference. Any known issues?

After looking again at the two images (I don’t have a scope). It actually appears to be lifted not clipped. So that 70% luminance becomes 100%. Could this be a PAL/NTSC thing?

    I’m working in PAL.
