    Hi,

I’m using several NAS-servers which contain stock-footage. These servers may enter stand-by mode so my footage goes offline. Why do I have to relocate every file in my project? Is it possible for FCP to automaticly detect the on-line status again and reconnects the files itself?

If you save a FCP project it records the offline status so you need to reconnect.

NAS units are not recommended for reliable video use, but are perfectly suited to archiving. You can configure them to not go into power save or standby modes.
