  • Nanoflash mov to mxf convertion probs in CS5.5

I seem to be the victim of a battle of wills between Adobe and Apple. It turns out Nanoflash .mov files wont play in PC Windows 7 CS5.5. They have to be converted to .mxf. This does work but why can’t I play Nanoflash .mov files natively in PremPro5.5 for Windows?

My problem is that after converting 250 or so files, I’m reviewing them in the 5.5 timeline but all files after RS161001 refuse to play or display audio in the time line. They will play using VLC player however.

I have reinstalled the coverter and java app. I’ve tried reinstalling 5.5. I’ve asked my camera guy to send a copy of one his original .mov files from the later batch in case something happened when copying them across to the expansion drive. I’ve opened a new project. I’m running out of things to try (well, I have run out of things to try).

All converted files up to RS159000 play audio OK in the time line. All files after this number will not play or display audio in the time line. What on Earth can be the problem?

    Any help gratefully recieved.

Just to up-date. When I import the converted .mxf files now, I get the following error message. Audio Conforming error. Error compiling movie.

I think the file is corrupted in some way. But I’ve done another reinstall of PP5.5, the file converter and java app.Nothing seems to work.
