nano 5th gen video
can I import the new nano video into FCP and will it look OK ie SD quality ..I would try it but don’t have a nano ..see specs below from apple web site

You would be much better off running the footage through MPEGStreamclip and converting to a better editing codec.

There is no such thing as “nano” video, just video that will play on any iPod, it is just scaled but the device to fit the screen. The video can be lower res, 320×240 so it will all depend. Video is square pixel so you will want to transcode it to 720×480 and an editing codec like ProRes or DV.
Wether or not if it will be good will depend on what it is.
