NAB 2007 5 Months Away

My understanding is that there will very little in terms of patches, a PPRO 2.5 release or a PPRO 3.0 release in Q1 or Q2 for 2007. One can only hope that Q3 and Q4 will be different.

We know for a fact that Adobe’s up to something — they’ve talked about a new release of the Studio for Intel Macs this year, which means a new Studio.

And if you read my Soundbooth article a discussion with one of Adobe product managers, he too talks about a 2007 release. Here’s the link:

Now that doesn’t mean it’s coming at NAB — certainly Adobe has enough critical mass to release whenever they’re ready and make a big, big splash…but I’d be willing to bet on at least a showing of something.

Please note that I have precisely zero inside knowledge on this — just reading the press releases and tea leaves.
